Last month, Brand South Australia launched the new ‘Buy SA. For SA.’ state-wide initiative encouraging consumers to look for local products to support South Australian businesses and in turn, boost the state’s economy.
South Australians spend around $10 billion in supermarkets and grocery stores each year, according to ABS data. Switching as little as five per cent of that figure towards local products would provide hundreds of millions of dollars in support for local South Australian producers.
The ‘Buy SA for SA’ campaign is running across across TV, cinema, radio, outdoor, digital and press, and will be amplified in South Australian supermarkets through point of sale that helps highlight the local products on shelf.
