Show Notes

The South Australian Government is investing $41 million in delivering 10 Electric Vehicle actions that will help accelerate EV uptake to realise South Australia’s ambition of net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
South Australia will spearhead electric vehicle uptake to 2025, so that electric vehicles are up to 50% of new passenger vehicles sold by 2030 and the dominant choice by 2035.
2030 we will transform the government fleet and aspire for all private taxi and rideshare vehicles to be electric, and fully electric commercial fleets to be a normal part of doing business.
As South Australia drives the transformation to EVs, around 170,000 electric vehicles will be on South Australian roads by 2030 and 1 million EVs integrated into the electricity system over the next 20 years.
In this segment, we hear from Peter Nattrass, Manager Future Industries with the Department for Energy and Mining's Growth and Low Carbon Division, and Cathi Buttfield: Project Manager, EV Integration, Department for Energy and Mining's Growth and Low Carbon Division.
