Show Notes

Foster and Kinship Carers Week (8-14 September) is an important opportunity for us to thank and appreciate the efforts of those who have shown such kindness and generosity in opening their hearts and homes to children and young people in need.

Caring for children and young people who have experienced hardship and neglect can be challenging, however there are rewards that come with watching those children thrive in a loving and supportive home.

On this week’s episode of Our State Sue Macdonald, Director, Executive Services, Department for Child Protection, Fiona Endacott, Chief Executive, Connecting Foster and Kinship Carers and Kathy Tapley, Kinship Carer tell listeners about the importance of Foster and Kinship Carers Week and the vital role that foster carers and kinship carers play in providing safe, stable and nurturing environments for vulnerable children and young people.
